Epic Games pushed back the release of Fortnite Season 3 to June 17 due to the equality protests all over the United States. This postponement is not the first time Epic Games has delayed the release of Season 3 as the game publisher previously pushed back the season’s release due to the coronavirus pandemic. The extraordinarily long season has left fans desperate for new Fortnite content. However, it seems Epic Games might bring back a popular character from Fortnite’s history as part of the latest update.

Will The Visitor Return to Fortnite?

Fortnite Season 3’s ‚Device‘ event will go live on June 15, and a couple of days later will signal the start of the new season. Fortnite fans will remember a leaked audiotape from Season 10 featuring The Visitor talking about ‚the device.‘ Jonesey’s vision of the future shows a rift above the image of a dam. Reddit user /u/Racoco802 posted a theory on the social media platform bringing together the various rumors and facts from previous seasons.

Initial leaks suggested that season end event, The Device, would see the entire map flooding after an unprecedented catastrophe. However, the details remained scarce. The Reddit theory suggests that The visitor will open a rift just above the dam, similar to Jonesey’s vision of the future. The dam in question is the Hydro Dam on the outskirts of Misty Meadows.

The rift would cause the Hydro dam to explode, releasing the water all over the map. We still don’t know how the flooding will lead to a new map or any details of the new map. But after months of waiting for the new map, Fortnite fans can expect significant changes to the battle royale game.
